Coupling of surface temperatures and atmospheric [CO.sub.2] concentrations during the Paleozoic era
Article Abstract:
The estimates of the coupling of surface temperatures with the atmospheric [CO.sub.2] concentrations during the Palaeozoic era are explained. The results prove that the tropical sea surface temperatures were much higher in that period as compared to today.

Evidence for decoupling of atmospheric CO2 and global climate during the Phanerozoic eon
Article Abstract:
The general belief that atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) has driven the global climate change in geological timescales is thrown into doubt by new research which has reconstructed tropical sea surface temperatures from the last 540 million years.

Europe to capture carbon
Article Abstract:
The European Commission has decided to build new power stations with carbon-dioxide capturing and storage (CCS) technology across the country. The technique is expected to reduce global carbon-dioxide emissions to a large extent.
